Fixed.

Regarding my previous two posts, I now have 4 gb of ram, and a sound card. Thus fixing both problems. Yay! But Alarian still kinda lags, but it's playable now, at least. And I got a Creative Audigy 2... FO FREE

Cuz the video/sound is l-l-l-l-l-lagging kinda badly. And it's not my internet connection, because F-f-f-f-f-frets on Fire lags too. I'm not sure if a sound card will h-h-h-h-help, but I don't wanna spend $25 to find out. It might be my video or audio driver. If it's my audio dr-r-r-r-river, then I need a sound card, cuz Realtek s-s-s-s-sucks. Also, Nvidia decided it would be f-f-f-funny to release a single driver for the e-e-e-e-entire 9000 series. WTF

All is well

I didn't get my RAM yesterday, cuz... actually I don't really know. I played Crysis Warhead though :D So yeah, I'll probably get the RAM today. I think.

BSODOMFG

So now that I have all my hardware, so I started installing Windows. As I was installing, suddenly... A WILD BSOD APPEARS! So then I'm like wtf, so I ignore it and reboot the computer. I finish XP installation without any further snags. I think I'm in the clear, but then as I'm installing Firefox, running a dual layer DVD, and opening Windows Explorer, ANOTHER BSOD! But this time, it flashes and suddenly reboots.

So that was last night. After school today, I decided I would ignore the previous BSOD's and just go on normally until I got another one. If I got another BSOD, then I would take some form of action.

So then I started using my computer, doing whatever, then suddenly... ATHIRD BSOD. This time I'm like fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu so then I take action.

First, I reformat my 10GB Windows partition and reinstall. It BSOD's (the one like the first time). So then I remove my 9500GT and try again. Same BSOD. Then I remove all my RAM except one, and put that one in slot A1 (which was empty before). This solved the problem (finally, after 2 hours). I was able to install XP without any further incident. Oh, and during that time, I swapped out my DVD drive for a dual-layer burner. Hehe. So now I await my last 512mb stick of RAM. But it'll be temporary, because I'm getting 2 sticks of 2GB RAM on Saturday from a friend. So this news is as of now. If I encounter any more problems, anyone within half a mile of my house will hear a loud

9500GT

My computer's almost done! All I need to complete it is a CPU fan+heatsink that I'll get tonight.

Anyway, here are the specs of my new computer:

3.0 Ghz Pentium 4 hyperthreaded
EVGA 9500GT 512mb ddr2
1.75 GB RAM (going to change that to 2)
320 7200RPM hard drive
Antec Earthwatt 380w
DVD drive (not a burner, might change it out to a dual layer burner, but not sure at the moment)

So yeah... I'll start playing tonight. Woooooot.
